"Before a Renaissance portico is standing a lady in eighteenth century costume of cream satin holding up a perch with a tame bird; beside her a cavalier holding a flint-lock gun and seated on the balustrade gesturing to the bird.

Around them a spaniel, game birds and a seated hound."

 

"Devant un portique Renaissance se trouve une dame en costume du dix-huitième siècle couleur crème satinée brandissant une perche

avec un oiseau apprivoisé ; à côté d’elle un cavalier tenant un fusil à silex,

assis sur la balustrade fait gesticuler l’oiseau.

Auprès d’eux un épagneul, du gibier à plumes et un chien allongé."
